The oath of office: Claude Thibierge, one of the French notaries who stood out in the 20th century

As a former president of the Chamber of Notaries of Paris, he acts as a figurehead for notaries by developing the practice that bears his name. He actively contributed to the legislative initiatives accompanying France’s reconstruction after the Second World War and was notably one of the principal figures inspiring the mechanism of off-plan property sales in France, the Scrivener law on real-estate loans and the current land and property registration system.
